Brianna Evans, a beautiful, vivacious, and charming concert promoter, is the woman every man dreams of. Hard-working, engaging, and fun, she bewitches men wherever she goes. Unfortunately, she does not see the trail of eager suitors behind her because her heart belongs to the one man who refuses to see that she is the perfect match for him.
Cooper Francis, the brilliant and powerful entertainment lawyer, is considered the smartest in the business. However, that intelligence fails when it comes to his private life. Innocently viewing Brianna as his best friend, he continues to hold her at arm’s length, despite the broiling chemistry between them. He cannot envision life without her in it, but he refuses to admit it to himself, let alone the world.
Then one night changes everything. After a single kiss under the mistletoe, his desire for Brianna grows until it culminates into a passionate encounter that leaves him scared but elated at the same time. Frightened of his feelings and believing he has made a mistake, he flees from Brianna and jeopardizes their friendship beyond repair.
When his continued distance forces Brianna to face the truth that he will never commit, she decides to take matters in her own hands and move on with her life. Relocating back to Arizona to be closer to her family during a crisis, she decides to sever all ties from the man she loves and start over again.
Faced with losing his best friend forever, will Cooper set her free or find the truth in his heart? Can he overcome his fear and stubbornness to see the truth? Will he make the right choice before it’s too late?

I've really enjoyed this series, but I have to admit that this was my least favorite book so far in it. I loved the character Bri--she makes an explosive, spontaneous entrance into the book. I believe she must have been a fun character to write. Cooper was not as engaging. Okay, everyone he loved had died on him so he has a superstitious fixation that anyone he loves is cursed. He loves Bri, but is afraid to admit it even to himself. She loves him and is desperate for him to see that love and marriage will work for him. Repeat this conflict in slightly different words and situations 473 times and you have the majority of this book. Since it overlaps the time table for the previous book in this series the book has a lot of the same events written from a slightly different perspective. Then you take her family who have always been loving and nurturing and who were said to include him as one of their own, yet they treat his love for her and the grief that he grew up with with a great deal of callousness and indifference--even the cousin that is supposed to be his dearest friend. Please understand that I give this book the 5 star rating because it is still well written, but I was disappointed for all the reasons mentionedProduct details

Cooper Choice The Evans Family Book 6 edition by Collette Scott Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I tried to like this Evans family installment, but sadly it just did not click with me. The heroine was beyond patient, but the hero really needed to get a grip.
This is the silliest book I have ever managed to read all the way through. Why I kept reading I'm not sure. Perhaps because it made my eyes glaze over every time I picked it up and before I knew it I fell asleep.
In this book Brianna is an entertainment promoter who is in love with an entertainment attorney. Due to losses in his life he keeps telling himself that he can love her. There are many interesting twists and turns to the plot which lead to a happy ending.
Scott continues the Evans's story with Bri & Coop. Although a great love story, Scott took just a little too long to bring the story to a close. I knew in the beginning that they were going to end up together, and I got a little bored waiting for it to happen. Book 6 was not nearly as good as the first 5 in the Evan's saga.
I love the Evans family saga. However the 6th book in the series was boring. Back and forth "Do I love her". She's just my best friend..
Brianna.. I love him. Why doesn't he notice. I just skimmed through some of the book. Hope book 7 goes back to the real issues. The Cartel and the trial...
Don't start reading Cooper's Choice book 6 of the Evan's Family without reading the first 5 books. This series is a "cannot put down" type of read. Go ahead and get all 6 books. Book 1 "If we dare to dream" Book 2 "Eyes on Tango, Book 3 "Kat's Last Chance, Book 4 "Terri's gift, Book 5 "Through winter skies. If you don't read in order, there will be some stuff that won't make sense in Book 6. Some guys are clueless, this author makes you feels as if you are in Brianna's shoes. When reading Cooper's choice, it makes you kinda wanta smack the guy upside the head
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the beautiful, intricate stories of the Evan's family over the past five books. This one was a bit different though. In theory, it takes place at the same time of Brian and Terri's story, so we're transported back to the emotions and drama of Avery's sickness. Not many authors can pull of doing that, but Collette Scott did. It was nice to have some more closure for the Evan's family. That all being said, this one was probably my least favorite out of the series. It took place all over the world and both parties were pretty well-to-do business people--not normally up my alley. But it's still a nice addition to the series and I can't wait to read the next one!
